Lewisham and Southwark College (LeSoCo) Featured in NLA Knowledge Capital Exhibition
Examining the transformation of London’s education and medical sector estate, New London Architecture’s latest exhibition, ‘Knowledge Capital: making places for education, innovation and health’ opened to the general public Friday 4th May.
Meeting the exhibition criteria of helping to transform the education sector, we are delighted one of our BREEAM excellent and leading education facilities, Lewisham and Southwark College (LeSoCo) has been chosen to feature within the gallery line up alongside some of the Capital’s leading education and healthcare projects.
Elementa helped transform LeSoCo’s existing campus into a modernised teaching facility, shaping the professional environment for existing and prospective students at the college. Flexibility was core to the design of this multi-functional space, with a vibrant atrium and transparent study space promoting a communal learning approach and true student hub within the campus.
Simon Ebbatson, Principal and education lead comments, “LeSoCo is a great example of how communal, flexible spaces can completely transform an education facility for both staff and students. The college now stands as a modern, technology forward centre that not only promotes great well-being and enjoyment for the students but is also highly sustainable and economically friendly”.
The Knowledge Capital exhibition is open to the general public from Friday 4th May – Saturday 7th July 2018 at the NLA, The Building Centre, 26 Store Street, WC1E 7BT.
