CalPoly Student Services Building Receives Westside Urban Forum Design Award

Los Angeles’ Westside Urban Forum (WUF) has announced the winners of the 2019 Design Awards. The annual Design Awards recognize projects, programs, policies and academic studies that demonstrate excellence in city making and community building in the County of Los Angeles. The California Polytechnic University Student Services Building has been recognized as an outstanding project in the Schools category.

Integral Group provided multiple services for this iconic project, including daylight modeling, energy modeling, and sustainability consulting in addition to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design. In close collaboration with CO Architects, Integral Group was instrumental in guiding the building orientation and application of a high-efficiency building envelope to optimize energy efficiency opportunities, maximize daylighting, reduce mechanical systems reliance, and optimize thermal comfort.
