Elementa Consulting Crowned CIBSE’s 2020 Building Performance Consultancy of the Year
Elementa Consulting crowned CIBSE’s Building Performance Consultancy of the Year for the third time in four years, at the 2020 Building Performance Awards
The ballroom of the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, played host to over 500 building services engineers to celebrate and showcase a year of ground-breaking achievements in high performance building services engineering.
Building Consultancy of the Year is one of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers’ most prestigious awards, recognising companies which have demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the design and refurbishment of buildings. It celebrates firms whose projects have met client expectations of performance, including occupant satisfaction, comfort and energy performance throughout their operating life. It also shines a light on company culture, employee well-being, training and progression opportunities, and working environment.
Elementa won the award in the new and fiercely competitive 51-300 employees category. This success builds upon wins in the ‘up to 100 employees’ category in 2017 and 2018, International Project of the Year in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and Building Performance Engineer of the Year in 2019.

Over the past year Elementa have helped build consensus on how the buildings sector can collaborate to tackle humanity’s greatest challenges. Elementa are founders of LETI, the London Energy Transformation Initiative, and continue to resource its critically important work. LETI recently released the Climate Emergency Design Guide, providing a roadmap for true zero carbon design. We also invested in pioneering research into whole life carbon in building services. Our World Green Building Week event on this topic was sold out, providing further impetus for our ongoing programme to delve deeper into this issue and develop actionable and achievable guidelines to share with industry.
