Strode’s College | New Teaching Block

This project involved the construction of a new teaching block and student centre. The student centre comprised a cafeteria which opens out onto the playing fields, a one-stop shop for student support services and upstairs includes a base for the personal tutors, careers, additional learning support, counsellor, chaplain, admissions, attendance officer, student financial support & student council office.

The new Teaching Block has modern, well-equipped teaching accommodation with 14 classrooms catering for maths, social science & humanities subjects, staff workrooms and an atrium.

Elementa’s work on this project included providing employers requirements for the mechanical, electrical and public health design and energy strategy to achieve planning consent. Sustainable design features included natural ventilation and solar hot water.
