Megan White Presents at 2018 Greenbuild

Greenbuild International Conference and Expo is the face to face experience for sustainability in the built environment. It’s for professionals in architecture, construction, engineering, planning, and interior design who depend on thoughtful and ethical solutions which promote wellness and resiliency in construction and urban development.

The theme for Greenbuild 2018 is Human x Nature | The Intersection of Humanity & The Built Environment. The green building movement embraces all of humanity by making sustainable buildings and environments accessible to everyone, and in doing so, benefits the natural environment all around us. We are helping people understand their role in protecting and preserving the natural environment and leveraging the built environment.

Integral Group is proud to be represented by Associate Principal Megan White, as a presenter in the session:

Leading the Way: Shaping the Future of Leadership

Opening Plenary: International Summit | Tuesday, November 13, 2018 | 9:00am – 10:00am

Our future leaders are already making their voices heard and setting the course for a more sustainable future. This year’s International Summit will start with an inspiring Opening Plenary focused on the future and individuals who are shaping the global conversation through their own work.

Megan White, associate principal of global sustainability at Integral Group, will moderate a powerful discussion with motivated young professionals from the United Nations Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals initiative: Nikki Fraser is from the Kamloops Indian Band in British Columbia and previously served as a youth representative at the Native Women’s Association of Canada. Inspired by her own family’s challenges, she has become an indigenous rights activist and voice for her community. Through the UN, she worked on raising awareness of the need for safe drinking water among First Nations communities across Canada.

Karan Jareth saw an opportunity to create positive change following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon tragedy, which led him to invent a subsea wellhead capping device that provided a game-changing, temporary solution to unforeseen oil spills. An award-winning scientist, Jareth’s work landed him on the 2016 Forbes 30 Under 30 Energy list. These young professionals bring diverse perspectives to a global conversation and are working across sectors to bring positive change to communities.
