Juli Abbott Joins Atlanta Studio as Principal
Juli Abbott joins Integral Consulting Engineering, the Atlanta studio of Integral Group, as a principal to lead project management and oversee operations. A licensed architect, Juli holds a Master of Architecture degree with an emphasis in sustainable design from the University of Texas at Austin. She spent over nine years in Gensler’s Atlanta studio where she served in a variety of leadership positions including project manager, studio manager, sustainability director, and southeast regional project management co-leader.
Throughout her education and career, Juli has been passionate about sustainability. Her project experience includes being the sustainability leader for over sixty LEED projects and sustainability strategist for non-LEED certified projects. Juli is adept at spearheading sustainability initiatives for staff education and office operations and maintenance.
As a founding member of the US Green Building Council (USGBC) Northern California Chapter she also served on its Board of Directors. Juli has more recently served on the Atlanta Board of Directors for the USGBC Georgia Chapter holding the offices of secretary, treasurer, vice-chair, and chair over several years. She oversaw the beginning of the USGBC Georgia Chapter transition from a volunteer-run organization to a USGBC National-administered organization.
Juli has taught Master’s degree-level program courses, creating the first sustainable design curriculum for the architecture school at Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.
