Moscone Convention Center Highest-Scoring LEED V2009 Platinum Convention Center in the World
The Moscone Convention Center Expansion in San Francisco has just been certified LEED Platinum. With 90 out of 110 possible points, the project is the highest-scoring convention center in the world under LEED v2009 for New Construction.
Integral Group is proud to have provided LEED consulting services for the expansion project. This project has been declared the most complicated LEED Project Boundary to date that has gone through the certification process. Our consulting team worked very closely with GBCI review team to ensure its successful certification.
The 350,000 square foot expansion includes three stories of meeting rooms, exhibition space, a ballroom, a reconfigured loading area, and a pedestrian bridge to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Beyond the building’s aggressive LEED goals, the project is also designed with consideration to green material requirements set forth by the City of San Francisco and a Net Zero Water target. The building is also host to the largest photovoltaic array in San Francisco.
The Moscone Convention Center Expansion project was completed in partnership with Mark Cavagnero Associates, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, and Webcor Builders.
