150 Van Ness

This new 13-story mixed-use apartment building provides housing, retail space, and underground parking in the heart of San Francisco. Anchored by 9,000 ft² of ground-level retail and office space, 419 residential units will share amenities including a basketball court, a swimming pool, and a rooftop terrace.

Integral Group provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for the new complex. Targeting a GreenPoint rating, our designs incorporate energy-efficient features while providing the tenants a healthy, comfortable, and beautiful place to live. We designed a variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heating and cooling system for common areas including the retail space. The VRF system will provide a high level of user control, increase the efficiency of the HVAC system and reduce energy use throughout the retail spaces.

The residential units in the building are ventilated by supply air from the roof, and heating is provided by energy-efficient wall-mounted radiators. Integral Group also designed a parking-garage exhaust system to effectively remove fumes from the underground parking levels.
