De La Salle High School STREAM Innovation Center
The new STREAM (science, technology, robotics, engineering, arts, and math) Innovation Center at De La Salle High School contains state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories that facilitate adaptive learning opportunities. Integral Group provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services as well as commissioning for this project.
For energy-efficient heating and cooling, we designed in-slab radiant systems throughout the building. The increased surface area of the radiant floor and exposed in-slab ceiling at De La Salle improves the heating and cooling capacity of the radiant system and makes the interior spaces more thermally comfortable.
The heating and cooling systems employ energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) to increase their energy efficiency. Integral Group also designed a dedicated outdoor air system (DOAS) which separates the exhaust air from the outside air used for ventilation so the supply air is cleaner and never composed of mixed or recirculated air.
