OpenRoad BMW/Mini Langley

The OpenRoad BMW and Mini dealership in Langley is British Columbia’s first LEED Gold certified dealership, and one of five LEED Gold certified dealerships in Canada. The client’s primary objectives were to achieve an energy-conscious establishment with impressive retail features and displays. The two-story, 54,000 sq. ft. dealership project was carried out on schedule, and exceeded the expectations of the client.

Integral Group was selected to provide energy modeling, mechanical and electrical consulting services for this project. The building envelope contained significant south-facing glazing; energy modeling was performed to select the most suitable system to overcome this challenge. Innovation was further displayed through the design of VRF energy transferring and energy recovery ventilation systems.

The dealership was designed to match the European branding of existing BMW establishments worldwide. Additionally, the new facility will enhance BMW Canada’s partnership with the Canadian Olympic Team through 2016 by displaying efficient energy performance, innovation in sustainable design and aesthetic beauty.
