Related Santa Clara

This new development, recently renamed Related Santa Clara, will transform four large parcels of landfill into a mixed-use city neighborhood. The development will include 5.4 million square feet of office buildings, multi-family residential with up to 1,680 units, 700 hotel rooms, and one million square feet of retail, as well as parks, open space, and new roads and infrastructure. The project will be built in seven phases, and will re-create the regional destination lost when the city lost its downtown years ago.

The developer is working closely with the City, with the goal of creating a community that will lead the region in terms of sustainable development. The project is considering aspirational goals around water, energy, and waste, and will be a showcase for how to create a sustainable community, cost effectively.

Integral Group provided strategic Sustainability Planning and EIR Support for the early planning phases of this new “mega-village.”

The first phase of the project will consist of a 440,000-square-foot office building, a 430-room hotel, and a residential building. Construction is expected to start in 2020.
