Sunnyhill Primary School
As a part of the London Borough of Lambeth’s Primary Capital Programme Consultants Framework, Elementa were selected to join the team at Sunnyhill Primary. The project involved the redevelopment of the existing Sunnyhill Primary School from 2FE to 3FE through extension and refurbishment of the current facilities. Our aim is to deliver services design that will ensure a high-quality environment, encouraging learning whilst maintaining security, functionality, practicality and accessibility.
There are two facets to Elementa’s contribution to this project. Firstly, Elementa provided mechanical, electrical and public health design for the project. This included hot/cold water, heating, ventilation, security and data, above and below slab public health and low energy lighting design.
Secondly, Elementa acted as BREEAM Education assessors to the Sunnyhill Primary School, and targeted a rating of ‘Very Good’ with an aspiration of ‘Excellent – we are currently on track for achieving an ‘Excellent’ rating. This is facilitated through a sustainable approach across the design board, but particularly in the inclusion of Ground Source Heat Pump technology, topped up with the use of Photo Voltaics and Solar Thermal technologies.
